R&R develops strategy by collecting data and performing studies primarily focused on housing, education and economic development. The data and research we produce will be used by nonprofits, governmental agencies, community organizers and residents to inform their decisions related to programming, funding and legislation that will help
R&R develops strategy by collecting data and performing studies primarily focused on housing, education and economic development. The data and research we produce will be used by nonprofits, governmental agencies, community organizers and residents to inform their decisions related to programming, funding and legislation that will help create a more just and equitable system in west Jackson.
The data collection and studies performed will be developed in various forms to provide knowledge and power to community residents. This knowledge will allow them to advocate, vote and organize to empower themselves and affect change in their communities.
As R&R collects and analyzes specific data in our target area, the picture of who and what west Jackson is will become clearer. We will be better equipped to change the narrative of west Jackson from negative to positive by advocating using this clearer picture to dispel all negative perceptions. Once light is shed on the truth, the role racism has played in shaping the experiences of the residents of our community will be exposed and positive change will occur. This change will have a positive effect on the children, seniors, homeowners, and renters that make up the west Jackson community.

Many communities across the country face challenges similar to those in West Jackson. Revive and Restore Community Corporation (R & R) will study best practices and successful models from these communities to identify proven strategies that can be adapted and implemented locally. Our research will focus on key areas such as:

- Increasing property values in historically disenfranchised neighborhoods
- Strengthening connections between the community and the public school district to build pride and improve student success
- Preventing fires in vacant and abandoned properties
- Reducing crime and promoting neighborhood safety
Using insights from this research, R & R will collaborate with stakeholders, community organizations, and local leaders to secure funding and implement programs inspired by these best practices.

R & R engages in community organizing and advocacy to ensure equitable distribution of resources and opportunities for marginalized populations by collaborating with local stakeholders, governmental agencies, and organizations to identify and address gaps in services, infrastructure, and access to opportunities within the community.
